Commissioning

Authors list

In order to create a successful commissioning of Skolon, it is essential that the following steps are completed.

Test and verify login

Ensure that all user roles (students, teachers, administrators) have tested the login solution implemented via the IdP link provided by Skolon. Also check the user journey defined in earlier in the process.

Appoint School Administrators

Ensure that there is at least one School Administrator for Skolon at each school and that these are interviewed and prepared for the assignment. Also ensure that they have been granted administrator rights in Skolon.

Train School Administrators

Ensure that the School Administrators have participated in administrator training which is part of the onboarding process.

Communicate to the business

Communication is crucial for commissioning to go smoothly, but is also an important part of the entire project, both before, during and after implementation. Before commissioning, ensure that the business has been informed about the introduction of Skolon and the purpose of introducing Skolon. This should be done in good time before commissioning. On the date set for deployment, Skolon may activate automatic welcome emails and instructions on how to log in and use Skolon.

Skolon continuously generates different types of information emails from the system, which users have the opportunity to choose whether they want to receive or not. This is a supplement to the internal information that you have previously communicated to the business.
