Data Visualisation - Usage

Authors list

Usage

Usage shows how much your tools are used within your organisation, both at organisation, school and individual level. The first view shows all tools (both integrated and local), if you are an organisation administrator you see the whole organisation and if you are a school administrator only the schools that you are connected to are shown.

Overall Usage

In the view you can search for specific tools, change the date period and filter out and look at specific schools. The chart shows the usage with the help of three different values:

  • Unique visits - number of users who used the tool during the selected time period
  • Visits - number of openings of the tool during the selected time period
  • Degree of usage - proportion of users with access to the tool * who used the tool during the selected time period.

* having access to a tool means that you have the tool in your collection.

Use of specific tools

If you click on a tool from the list, a deep dive is made in the use of the specific tool.

The same principle applies here as in the previous view - if you are an organisation administrator, you see the entire organisation and if you are a school administrator, only the schools you are connected to are displayed. You can also change the time period and filter out and look at specific schools.

The four boxes list:

  • Users - users with access to the tool *
  • Unique visits - number of users who used the tool during the selected time period
  • Visits - number of openings of the tool during the selected time period
  • Degree of usage - proportion of users with access to the tool * who used the tool during the selected time period.

The graph below the icons can show three different types of statistics for the selected time period:

  • Degree of use - proportion of users with access to the tool * who used the tool during the selected time period.
  • Activity level - how many times the tool's unique visitors have used the tool on average
  • Unique visits - number of unique users who used the tool

* having access to a tool means that you have the tool in your collection.

If you select a specific school in the menu at the top left, you will also be able to see the number of visits at the individual level during the selected time period.
