Organisation administrator: the role has full rights in the system with the ability to configure the system, assign rights, manage and assign licenses and tools, and track usage statistics. If the organisation uses Skolon Store to purchase licenses, the organisation administrator can also complete orders for the entire organisation and all schools within it. Also has access to views for order history and recurring renewals (subscriptions) to follow up purchases for the entire organisation as well as for individual schools.

Common positions that usually get the role: IT/ICT strategist, IT/ICT coordinator, development manager, administration manager, system manager, object specialist.



School administrator: the role has rights in the system with the ability to configure the system, manage and assign licenses and tools, and monitor usage statistics. If the school uses Skolon Store for the purchase of licenses, an administrator can also place orders at the schools the user is connected to, as well as have access to views for order history and recurring renewals (subscriptions) to follow up purchases locally at the school.

The school administrator's role is usually divided into three areas:

  • Pedagogical use - Have an understanding of the pedagogical use of Skolon in order to be able to support teachers and students in their use of Skolon.
  • Administration - Manage and assign licenses and tools from the School's administrative interface.
  • Follow-up - Follow up on the use of the various tools the school has access to via Skolon for, for example, a basis for systematic quality work, competence development, knowledge dissemination and also evaluation of purchased tools.

Common positions that usually get the role: school administrator/intendent, IT/ICT pedagogue, principal, deputy principal, head teacher and teacher with a focus on digitisation.


Teacher: uses Skolon for easy access to their digital learning resources and tools from My Collection. Can search for tools in the library and has the option to start free demos for himself/herself or together with students.

Can follow up their students' access and use of their digital tools via Skolon.


Student: uses Skolon for easy access to their digital learning resources and tools from My Collection. Can search for tools in the library and has the ability to start free demos for himself/herself.


When using Skolon Store


Budget administrator: provides the opportunity to create purchase rights for the users who should be able to make purchases.


Purchaser: Gives the user the opportunity to purchase products from the library.
