The Approved Suppliers feature allows you as the main authority to ensure that users can only utilise tools from the suppliers you've approved. In this scenario, user data will only be shared with the approved suppliers. It's crucial to be aware, before activating this feature, that all suppliers whose tools you intend to use should be approved beforehand. This ensures users don't lose access to their tools.
Tools already in a user's My apps, but whose supplier isn't approved, will become inactive for users and can't be opened.
You can approve suppliers and activate the feature as follows:
Launch Data Visualisation from "My apps."
Click the Data Protection icon.
To make sure tool access isn't interrupted, you should first go through the list of suppliers. Check the box next to the suppliers you want to approve and click Approve Supplier.
Heads up! Your users won't be able to open tools from any unapproved suppliers.
Once you've approved all the relevant suppliers, check the box for "Allow usage only from your approved suppliers."
Read through the text in the dialog box that opens, then click Activate.
