Skolon's operations are managed by European sub-contractors

What You Need to Know

Information security, privacy, and compliance with GDPR and current laws and regulations have always been a priority for us at Skolon. Since the Schrems II ruling, we've been working intensely with the effects and challenges that the European Court of Justice's invalidation of Privacy Shield has posed for using non-European IT sub-processors.

As part of this effort, after consulting with legal experts and engaging in dialogue with our customers, Skolon has concluded that full GDPR compliance requires a fully European operation.

Skolon and all APIs are now operated exclusively on European sub-processors, ensuring full GDPR compliance. We have also replaced the systems used for case management, user support, and email communications.

What You Need to Do

As the data controller, you need to ensure that your data processing agreement (DPA) is updated with a new list of sub-processors. A new, complete list of Skolon's sub-processors can be found [here](link to be inserted). The updated list has been sent to the contact person you specified in your DPA with Skolon.

We will inform you when sub-processors are no longer engaged. As data controllers, we recommend that you update existing DPAs with the new sub-processor list.
